Zillow has no self-serve API for searching listings. Access is granted only on application. Listingrail reads live Zillow sale and rent listings (United States) and returns them as JSON with one key, in the same format as the other 16 portals.

Is there an official Zillow API?
Zillow has no self-serve API for searching its listings. Its developer portal (Zillow Group / Bridge Interactive) lists about 20 APIs; the MLS Listings API is invite-only and each MLS decides who gets its data. The old free ZWSID API program was retired in 2021.
Access. Invite-only. Apply through the contact form on the MLS Listings API page (name, company, app description, intended use); each participating US/Canadian MLS must approve access to its own data. Password and access-token authentication, governed by a terms-of-service agreement.
Price. Zillow publishes no price for API access that we could find.
What the official route covers. MLS listing data from participating US and Canadian MLSs, normalized to the RESO Data Dictionary, via a REST/JSON API. Separate gated datasets: public records, neighborhood data, Zestimates, agent reviews, mortgage rates. Free aggregate market CSVs on Zillow Research.
What it does not. No nationwide search across Zillow.com listings, no access without per-MLS approval, no self-serve key. The Rentals entries (Rentals Feed Integrations, Lead API) are for sending rental listings and leads into Zillow, not for reading them.

POST this body to /v1/listings/search with your key. zillow takes City and state, ZIP code or Zillow search link, e.g. 'Austin, TX'. zillow-rentals takes City and state or ZIP code, e.g. 'Austin, TX'. One credit per listing returned; up to 500 per request.

How do I get a Zillow API key?
Officially: Invite-only. Listingrail gives you a key for Zillow and 16 other portals at once: enter your email on the home page and the key comes with 100 free listings.
How much does the Zillow API cost?
We found no published price for an official Zillow API. On Listingrail one listing returned costs one credit: 100 free once, then $29 a month for 10,000 listings ($0.0029 each) down to $0.0012 on the largest plan. Searches that find nothing are free.
Can I get Zillow listings in Python or JavaScript?
Yes. Send one POST request to /v1/listings/search with "source": "zillow" and a location; the examples on this page run as they are once you add your key.
Which Zillow fields does the API return?
id, url, title, address, city, region, postal_code, country, lat, lng, price, currency, price_period, beds, baths, area, property_type, photos, agent.phone, agent.company. Fields Zillow does not show a visitor come back as null, and every listing also carries the portal's own record in "raw".
Is it allowed to use Zillow data?
Listingrail reads what Zillow shows any visitor, at the moment you ask. How you use it is up to you: check Zillow's terms and the data-protection law that applies to you, especially before storing agent names or phone numbers.
